Posturology

What is

Postural analysis is the most important tool for assessing and determining pathological dysfunctions. This computerised digital analysis provides information about the level of motor function of the human body.

How is it performed?

Postural analysis records how pressure is distributed on both lower limbs in static and dynamic positions. It is a simple, non-invasive method to detect axial and compensatory deviations of the whole body. Following postural testing, depending on the result, the patient will be recommended custom orthopedic foot supports (heel cushions). The heel pads correct improper plantar pressures detected during postural testing. The use of orthopaedic foot supports makes the pressure distribute harmoniously, influencing joint biomechanics and posture of the whole body.

What conditions does it treat?

Postural testing is recommended in the following pathologies:
  • Flat foot or cavity
  • Foot valg or lime
  • Knee valgus or varus
  • Knees genu flexum or recurvatum
  • Deviations of the spine (scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis)
  • Poor posture
  • To improve sports performance

Benefits

Unlike the standard (mass-produced) braces that are sold in various stores or the heel pads obtained by scanning the soles only in a static position, at Genki Medical Center the plantar supports 100% custom orthopaedic are obtained exclusively from postural testing. This complex and precise analysis (it takes about 1 hour) is the only one that allows the making of the orthotic supports. orthopaedic orthotics 100% customized because analyses the pressure distribution on the of the lower limbs both in movement and in position static position.
