Spine 3D

What is

Spine 3D is a modern non-invasive (non-irradiation) medical scanning device that takes a three-dimensional image of the spine and measures pathological spinal deviations. It is designed based on IR and LIDAR laser technology, and the software takes measurements useful for obtaining a comprehensive clinical picture of the patient.

How to use it?

The examination is very easy, the patient is asked to maintain an orthostatic position for a few minutes so that the images can be taken by the scanning system. The software converts information into images of the thoracolumbar spine in all planes (frontal, sagittal, transverse and axial) as well as images that accurately show the position of the shoulders and pelvis.
Measurements made with this medical equipment indicate the following parameters:
Trunk length and inclination
Sagittal and coronal imbalance
Depth of cervical and lumbar lordosis
The kyphotic and lordotic angle
Obliquity and slope of shoulders and pelvis
Pelvic angle
Vertebral deviation, vertebral deviation
Rotation area

In what conditions is it recommended?

Investigation guidelines for children and adults
  • Postural and spinal static disorders
  • Spinal and joint pain caused by spinal static disorders
  • Spinal deformities: kyphosis, scoliosis, hyperlorosis, (which may or may not cause pain)
  • Comparative monitoring of rehabilitation therapy
  • Following postural testing as a complementary assessment

Benefits

The device’s software offers the possibility to import and superimpose a previous radiological examination over the 3D image obtained. The device provides information on clinical parameters in the form of medical reports, useful both for diagnosing spinal deformities and for performing postural analysis of the patient. At the same time, with this device, the doctor can see the effectiveness of the treatment performed
