Arthromot

What is

The ARTHROMOT (CPM continuous passive motion) medical device features an innovative technology that allows passive mobilisation of the lower limb joints. Since postoperatively the joint on which the intervention has been performed can only be mobilized between certain degrees of movement, with the help of the Arthromot device, the physiotherapist can precisely adjust the speed and degree of amplitude recommended by the recovery protocol.

How to apply?

Mobilization of the affected joint with the Arthromot device is performed in a comfortable position, the patient lying on the bed with the lower limb positioned on the device. During the therapy the patient stays relaxed so that the device can perform passive mobilizations.

In which situations is it indicated

– postoperative (especially for the knee joint)
– ligament reconstructions
– intra-articular lavage
– knee joint or hip joint replacements
– fractures of the lower limb

Benefits

– allows early mobilisation of the affected limb when loading is not yet recommended
– Improves blood and lymph circulation of the lower limb
– helps maintain joint mobility
– can gradually increase the range of motion with the greatest precision and safety for the patient.
