TECAR (Capacitive and\/or Resistive Electric Transfer) therapy uses heat for therapeutic purposes. The TECAR equipment stimulates the energy within the tissues to activate the body’s natural healing and recovery processes. This therapy is non-invasive, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and very effective in helping to heal muscle and tendon pain and joint swelling more quickly. TECAR equipment uses a plate electrode, which is placed on the opposite side of the body area to be treated. Another movable electrode is passed in circular movements over the painful area, transmitting currents, with the help of a conductive cream. The device is set by the therapist to the desired parameters according to certain criteria and the patient does not feel any pain or discomfort during the therapy, only a slight warming of the area.
