The therapy involves exposing the affected area to low temperatures using the Crioultrasunet physiotherapy device, which combines two technologies: ultrasound and cold action. The control panel of the device allows the selection of characteristic parameters, the therapist having the possibility to set the frequency of the ultrasonic wave and the desired temperature. Exposure is done either by moving the applicator over the affected area or in a single fixed point for a short period of time, between 10 and 30 minutes.
